The XKSS, road version of the D-Type winner of three consecutive victories at Le Mans in 1955, 1956 and 1957, occupies a unique place in Jaguar’s history and it is a coveted car by collectors around the world for its exclusivity and unmistakable design. A fire broke out at plants in Browns Lane Jaguar destroying 9 of the 25 specimens of XKSS that were complete or semi-complete. There remained 16, and one was bought by Steve McQueen.

Now Jaguar is preparing to reconstruct the incredible and super exclusive car that reflects the heritage of the historical model. 9 new specimens of XKSS will indeed be handmade by Jaguar Classic with the same specifications that debuted in 1957, thus going to replace almost 60 years after the models went lost because of the famous fire. Jaguar will implement nine sports for a select group of collectors and exceptional customers, partly because the price of each exceed a million pounds. the First deliveries will begin in early 2017.
