The “double-Monks”, the male shoes famous for being informal but elegant during the Seventies, are back in fashion. During the last Pitti Uomo, London and Milan Fashion Weeks, gentlemen wore them by matching with pride and tapered pants.

So, the double-Monk, in leather or suede it doesn’t matter, is a must for the next fall-winter (Fratelli Rossetti, for example, thought about it in a new James Bond-version). But is it a shoe that men can always wear? The answer is no.

However, it is back in fashion and it’s time to choose between different models: the versatile leather, with stitchings or the other one in dark brown leather? We choose six models from six prestigious fashion houses: Andrea Ventura Firenze, Doucal’s, Borgioli, Arfango Alberto Moretti, Mauro Grifoni, Santoni.
