Bentley by Savile Row
It is no surprise to see Bentley Motors working hand in hand with bespoke tailoring: since 1919, they have been creating customised cars, hand-finished by master craftsmen, which have enthralled generations of collectors.
For the event “Savile Row and America: a Sartorial Special Relationship”, which took place in May, this English manufacturer wanted to celebrate “handmade” art by commissioning the four most prestigious Savile Row tailors to reinterpret the iconic driving jacket. Dege & Skinner, Gieves & Hawkes, Henry Poole and Huntsman created a capsule collection in fine fabrics featuring striking details, which represents the best of British luxury, the custodian of the history, spirit and values of Bentley.
These bespoke masterpieces have now been returned from the location of the show at the British Embassy in Washington D.C. to the windows of Savile Row, so they can be custom ordered by sophisticated drivers and any devotees of excellence.
