Andrea Incontri, heaven star of Italian fashion: his style is almost dogmatic, atemporal, with an absolute hint of rigor mixed to an all-present freshness.

In his collections the purist passion for clear codes that give life to a woman stands out distinctly, Woman with capital letter. An intellectual minx with a fine austerity – where necked tailoring dresses are matched to formal boots – with a teen aged prettiness thanks to graphic waving mini dresses, draperies and skirts. Many centuries are all involved in Incontri’s couture collections, created with a firm style barometer.

It calls to mind Halston’s effortless chic, that femininity free from strong provocations, and the Forties’s soul free from any tinsel: main characters are the clear shapes and the powerful colors that wink to neutral nuances. Below his ladylike soul woman, there is the passion for fabrics built when the fashion designer worked for another made in Italy brand: Pontoglio 1883.

It stands out his DNA of interior designer that explains the strong relation between architecture and fashion, most of all in the research of materials and shapes, real obsession in the work of the fashion designer, as once he said. The perfection of accessories reveals the original passion, when Andrea won the “Who’s on Next” award with his bags collection, basic in its shapes, perfect in its manufacture. An ease that hides a great experience and a natural taste for refinement are his guidelines.

Even if his men lines are good, Andrea Incontri shows all his talent in women collections thought not for an ordinary woman, but feminine and elegant. The theme of last spring-summer collection was a mix of refinement and Oriental grandeur with structured fine fabrics. For this fall-winter the fashion designer confirms the trend: shirt dresses, pencil skirts, fine jacquard fabrics, collarless coats, modern New Look lines and jackets. He shows all his amazing ability to marry the old fashion with a clear vision of “style”.

Style, word that too many people use and that Andrea Incontri really represents.
