IWC Portugieser: 75 years of style celebrated with Chef Berton
Precision and small ingredients unite IWC Portugieser with dishes by chef Andrea Berton. It is a question of ‘calibre’ and of style. Like the 52000 calibres of the four models in the new IWC collection, which is celebrating the 75th anniversary of a “legend amongst icons”, the Portugieser.
There are aspects that have to be celebrated with a new appearance – technical and aesthetic improvements, new functions, a perpetual digital calendar (75 examples for the red gold limited edition; 25 for the platinum) and an annual calendar (11 months) – and with new friends of the brand, like Chef Berton, new Friend of the Brand.
IWC gave a present to guests at the new Ristorante Berton, in Milan, for the presentation of models with thicker glass and a new attachment for the lugs on the Santoni strap, which is now more comfortable. The edition of the 1940 IWC Portugieser model is available in 750 examples in steel and 155 in red gold (hand wound calibre).
