Hundreds of people visited beHouse 2015 on the opening evening of 20 May and many enthusiasts have given in to the temptation to accept the invitation which, until 5 June, from 11.30 am to 9.30 pm, directs guests to the 1st floor of Via Dante 14 in Milan, a stone’s throw from the Expo Gate.

Connoisseurs of tailor-made items, admirers of beauty, lovers of the best food and wine and supporters of the finest socialising toasted with Veuve Cliquot and tasted the finger food provided by Don Lisander‘s designer catering firm, lingering between the two rooms of the “house”.

On one side, the permanent exhibition houses the creations of Aishha couture, Angelo Inglese, Ducal, Duccio Venturi Bottier, Ferdinando Caraceni, Jacob Cohen, Kinloch, In Kilt & Henri Jones, La Martina, Ripense, Royal Cashmere, Sciamàt and Siniscalchi.

In the middle of the fine furnishings by the expert of antiquities, Francesca Bolsi, the “parade” of fine watches designed by Corum, Erwin Sattler, Gagà Milano, Orologi Calamai, Out Of Order Watches, Tag Heuer, U-Boat and Ulysse Nardin can be admired.

And more: there are some tastes of the shoe making experience of Aldo Bruè, Cappelletti Shoes, Doucal’s, Mantero meets Paola d’Arcano, Stefano Bemer and Iliprandi present with a refined selection of shoes by John Lobb, Tricker’s and Edward Green.

The jewels and gems of GFase, Faraone gioielli, Fratelli Piccini and Mnc Creations offer a beautiful display along with delightful leather goods mixed with the precious materials of CartTime and Alessandra Fontanelli.

There is no shortage of “chairs of ancient craftsmen”: the Antica Barbieria Colla barber’s chair; the Bullfrog shoeshine one; and the reading corner dedicated to the books of Booksinprogressmilano.

In the middle, a suspended bridge welcomes visitors to the second wing dedicated to trunk shows and cooking shows (in our gallery past exhibitors, in calendar and those scheduled to exhibit shortly) with Giugiaro and the iconic items designed by him displayed in an internal flower garden illuminated and adorned by the company Paghera. From here one of the latest Jaguar stars and the Milanese delights of Giacomo Milano can be found peeping in.

In the other wing, the one with exhibitions of artists and craftsmen, visitors will find works by Isabella Muratori, Studiò and Yozique by Sharon Jones.  These are mixed with top quality works by Eddy Monetti, FH ItaliaFrancesca Zunino, Guidi, Maison Cifonelli and Orazio Luciano.

Overlooking Via Dante, around the Modulnova kitchen and the Flexform furnishings: Kunzi & Berkel, Ladurée, Panettone Vergani, Pantone, Viceversa and T-Presso with innovative tea varieties; and the best labels of the wineries Venoge, Marchesi Mazzei, Pasqua and Veuve Clicquot.

Making the whole thing unforgettable is the olfactory route by Dr. Vranjes and Locherber.

In short: the flavours of a city are the reflections of the world, the capital of Expo and, until 5 June, bien vivre with many brands that represent the taste of bespoke.

Each and every one of them is there with its unique features and personal story: BeSpoke-TheChic&Cool tells the story in its catalogue – available from Via Dante 14 -, on the bilingual portal beSpokeMagazine, and on Facebook, Twitter and Google Plus. United by the hashtag #behouse2015, they are an interactive tool through which you can find out about all the scheduled events in real time.
