Monaco Yacht Show”, indifferent to geopolitical and financial problems, proves again it is the one and only event for mega-yachts shipowners and shipyards. The new headquarters of “Yacht Club de Monaco”, opened on June 20th, 2014, contributed to make this event even more electrifying by offering the best representation of its exclusivity.

So, the show took place in an optimism mood as if it would distance itself from the other international shows.

For sure, the first appreciation goes to ATHENA, a charming 90 mt clipper built by Royal Huisman shipyards in 2004 and offered by Ocean Independence for the luxury charter. To notice, always in sailing yachts segment, the world preview of NAUTOR‘s SWAN 105, a 32 mt boat built by the shipyard managed by Leonardo Ferragamo, sloop with a rare elegance designed by German Frers. At last, it stood out INFINITI 46 from the Monegasque brand of the same name, a sail project that will take shape in Italy (where the best boat of the world are built) and will take part in the most important regattas of 2015 with the ambition to establish new records.

Among the powerboats, RIVA announced the start of the production of large steel units, a news waited so long by the aficionados of the famous brand, while the German LURSSEN shipyard (the same of AZZAM, 180 mt, the largest yacht in the world) launched the 85 mt M/Y SOLANDGE and BURGESS the two charters 85 mt M/Y CAKEWALK and the 57 mt S/Y TWIZZLE.

As usual, to the offering of mega-yachts there were the producers of “toys” for the owners who don’t want to renounce to the most amusing and bizarre products.
