Anyone who is convinced that obvious objects from everyday life cannot be compared to art should come and see the “Art & Food. Rituali dal 1881” exhibit at Triennale Design Museum in Milan.

This show by Germano Celant contains almost one thousand works, plus many site-specific pieces, in a 2,000 m2 space where all artistic techniques are welcome. From painting to sculpture, from photography to video and from design to architecture and even cinema, music and literature: it is a real multi-sensory journey.

This exhibit connected to the Milan Expo 2015, and its central theme of food and nutrition, follows a chronological path packed full of works and objects, starting from those created for the first World Fair in 1981 in London, moving through works of the original historical avant-garde up to Pop Art and the modern day.
