This facility combines existing buildings with three new constructions for a total of eleven thousand square metres to be used as exhibition space. An educational area for children, a bar designed by the director Wes Anderson, which recreates the atmosphere of the old Milan cafés, as well as a library open night and day, the new Prada Foundation is all this and much more.

This multi-purpose space designed by the OMA architecture studio, led by the starchitect Rem Koolhaas, opened its doors on 9th May in southern Milan, featuring “Serial Classic” and various other exhibition projects which use the Prada collection as a research and study tool.

It will show how the Foundation once again aims to be a platform for analysis where different forms of art co-exist.
